About The Tzadik:
Rabbi Yitzchak Zilberstein (Hebrew: יצחק זילברשטיין), born in 1934 in Bendin, Poland, is a prominent Lithuanian Haredi rabbi and halachic authority. Growing up in Jerusalem, he studied at the Etz Chaim Yeshiva during his childhood and later continued his studies at Yeshivat Mekor Chaim in Jerusalem. After his marriage to Shoshana, the daughter of Rabbi Yosef Shalom Eliashiv, he furthered his studies at Yeshivat Slabodka in Bnei Brak, where he received rabbinic ordination from the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Yechezkel Abramsky.
In the 1970s, Rabbi Zilberstein was appointed as the rabbi of the Ramat Elchanan neighborhood in Bnei Brak. He also serves as the head of the Beit Din of Beit David in Holon and is actively involved in the Torah leadership council of Degel HaTorah. Known for his expertise in medical and healthcare-related Jewish law, he imparts monthly lessons to both religious and secular physicians.
Throughout his teachings, Rabbi Zilberstein often addresses intricate legal, ethical, and moral dilemmas, drawing on Torah sources and anecdotes from rabbinic literature. His weekly lectures at the Dvar Shira Synagogue in Bnei Brak and the "Beit David" center cover a range of halachic topics, and he frequently integrates insights from the rulings of his father-in-law, Rabbi Eliashiv, and his brother-in-law, Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky.
Additionally, Rabbi Zilberstein is a member of the Rabbinical Council of Maayanei Hayeshua Medical Center. In 2022, he was added to the Torah leadership council of Degel HaTorah, further solidifying his standing within the Torah community.
